Difference between factory made and real samurai swords

Are you looking for real samurai swords? You need to be aware of the differences between the handmade swords and the factory made swords. Apparently, there seems to be no difference between the two but they are different in many aspects. You have to closely examine the sword to make out the proper differences between the factory made and real samurai swords.

Factory made swords have various thickness blades and handles. They are also painted. Factory made swords are mainly used for decorative purposes. They are not strong and cannot be used for slashing or cutting.

Handmade swords are the real samurai swords. The process of making handmade swords is very complicated and it is a long process. It requires great hard work and patience. The steel is repeatedly folded to increase its strength. To increase the hardness of the blade, it is repeatedly heated with clay and the two ends of the sword are heated at different temperatures to maintain the difference in sharpness of the edges. Now, real samurai swords are not used in battles but they are still manufactured according to the traditional ways of sword making.  There are many online stores that use the traditional techniques of sword making for making the customized swords.

Factory made swords are made by using stainless steel which is not durable and hard. If you want a decorative sword, a factory made sword would be the best choice because it is cheap and easily available. In factories, the steel is not folded and it is made especially for the decorative purposes only.

If you want to buy a sword for practice, you should try to find a handmade sword. If you are buying an expensive sword, make sure that it is a handmade sword. You can see the sharpness and strength of the sword to judge its real price. You can also look for the signature of the sword smith on the handle of the sword. Most handmade swords will have the signature of the sword smith on its handle.

Factory made sword will shine more as it is made from stainless steel. The strength and durability of the factory made sword are far less as compared to the handmade sword. The real sharpness and durability of the sword are the only criteria to differentiate between the factory made and handmade sword.
